Happy New Year!

New Year – time, when everything seems possible. I am sure lots of you have goals and resolutions for 2019. I used to have them as well. Six pack, two books per month, being outside every day, etc… Have you ever achieved your New Year’s resolutions? I haven’t. It seems easy for a couple of weeks, you feel motivated and happy but then old habits kick in and everything fails. So I decided to try something different this time around.

This year I decided to create a VISION of my life (I use John Butcher’s Lifebook for a template but you can find your own best way to do it). It helps me to see my life as a whole and to think about different aspects of it.

How to create a vision of your life?

  • First of all you have to know WHY you want what you want. Why do I want changes in my life? Because I‘m am stuck at the moment, I do not feel my best mentally and physically, and I am not happy with my financial situation. I want to find ways to live my dream life.
  • When you have your why you need to think about the steps you can take to achieve it. You could set some goals at this step but I like creating new HABITS instead. What do I have to do every day to achieve my vision? For example, I can eat healthy, meditate and write more.
  • Change your mind, change your world. Be conscious about your new life. Think and act based on your life vision. Dream big and imagine yourself living your best life.

Your vision is your purpose, and your purpose is the biggest motivation. If you have a truly authentic vision it’s easy to achieve it. Just be conscious about it in your daily life.
